All of our bed kits are made from cabinet grade kiln-dried materials to minimize warping and shrinkage.
The kit is offered in red oak. In addition to our standard offering, we can also accommodate requests for other species of wood.
All boards are milled to 3/4", grooved, cut to length, and sanded. We recommend that boards are sanded prior to finishing, according to the finish manufacturers' recommendations.
This kit includes a 1-inch groove on the top and bottom of the wood at the tailgate end of the wood for placement of the bed wood sill.
